Consulting and Research Center
Afroresearch is an independent, African not-for-profit think tank dedicated to managing risk and building resilience to promote peace, research, development and sustainable development. To achieve its purpose, the center employs a mix of policy research, strategic analysis, publishing, and convening.
The center was founded in in 2014 as the African Peace and development center (APDR), which focused on education, health, conflict preventing and building peaceful societies. Currently, our identity is a research institution that works with and supports multilateral institutions, governments, civil society, and the private sector on a range of regional and continental peace and development challenges.
Afroresearch also carries out work in and on Africa. With staff from more than twenty African countries and a broad range of academic fields, the center has offices on the African continent and Minnesota. Afroresearch partners with regional organizations, think tanks, universities, and NGOs to conduct research, produce publications, and convene meetings in many parts of the world.
